Dear Affiliate Manager, Girls Are From Venus

Query: My target market is girls, and I'm having a challenging time having them to market my solutions. They just appear unmotivated. I do not get it. Does my affiliate system stink or am I recruiting undesirable affiliates?

Dear Affiliate Manager:

This just goes back to fundamental psychology. Females and men worth different factors.

Car salesmen are taught this in their instruction. When a husband and wife stroll into a auto showroom, the automobile salesman will face the husband when he talks about things like ... horsepower and engine stuff. Then, he'll turn towards the wife and talk about security and colour possibilities. Is this condescending? Yes. But, it's also helpful. My eyes glaze over in terms of horsepower, but I choose to know what I am going to appear like in my auto! Sunroof? Radio? Now we're talking.

So, what does this have to do with your affiliate plan? Very simple. Even though I cannot speak for all ladies, definitely, I can inform you the factors I worth in an affiliate program.

Excellent. I worth my newsletter subscribers and am constructing a partnership with them. (In line with recent studies, ladies go on the web to locate relationships and support.) If your item or service is junk, then you could offer you me 99% commission having a 99% conversion rate and I'm nonetheless not going to sell it to my visitors.

Affordability. I can not market a solution that I, myself, wouldn't buy. If you're overpriced for what you supply, I can not promote your merchandise to my subscribers.

Dollars and Cents. Not surprisingly cash is a factor. It is just not the #1 aspect, as you might be surprised to know. 20% commission vs. 40% -- I'm not as concerned about that as I'm the other products in this list.

Tools: Yes, tools. This can be genuinely significant, and so few venus factor amazon "get it". I feel I've finally pinpointed why that is such a major point (at the least for me). This situation occurs way too normally: I obtain a product I am seriously excited about and I eagerly sign up for their affiliate system. I log in so I can commence telling every person I know about this terrific product or service. I can't wait to see what they've inside the "links" section. Will there be articles, or a rebrandable e-book maybe? Or even an informative video? It's like Christmas morning... what will I find? And, then the affiliate section opens and there is 1 measly link along with a button.

My initial gut reaction is "They're not even attempting!" And now, I never really feel valued or motivated within the least bit. You just succeeded in turning your most significant fan into someone who stuck a lousy button on her web page and knows it's not going to sell at all.

I know what you happen to be considering. It is the affiliate's job to sell. Yes, you are proper. As an affiliate, I realize that writing critiques and suggestions is definitely the finest strategy to sell a product. No doubt about it. All I am saying is that you have got to give us at the least an indicator that you happen to be thinking about creating a functioning 'relationship'.

Is it hokey to want a connection with an Affiliate Manager? Yes. It can be. But, I can inform you that any affiliate system where I get some focus and appreciation is going to obtain much more loyalty from me than an Affiliate Manager who sits on the couch drinking beer and watching football even though I am operating around operating my butt off... (Hmmm.... did I say that?)
